We opened six bottles. Five were from Trader Joe's and one was from Vino! in the Rockridge neighborhood of Oakland, CA. After over 2 hours of tasting we came to these results:

1st: Dry Creek Vineyards (Heritage) Zinfandel 2007 Dry Creek Valley, Sonoma, CA
          • 87% Zinfandel and 13% Petite Sirah
          • 13.5 ABV
          • 14.99 - Trader Joe's








            2nd: Canard Sauvage Zinfandel 2007 Dry Creek Valley, Sonoma, CA 
                  • 15.5 ABV

                                    • 71% Zinfandel, 22% Petite Sirah, 7% Carignane

                                    6th: Rosenblum Cellers (Vinter's Cuvee) Zinfandel XXXI Sonoma, Ca
                                        • 14.6 ABV

                                      Best Value: Canard Sauvage ($9.99 - Trader Joe's)
                                      It was very close between Canard Sauvage and Dry Creek Valley Heritage for 1st and 2nd.  At 33% percent cheaper, Canard Sauvage gets you the most bang for your buck.
